Thanks so much for your support for Kerala Club's participation at the Sevathon on July 17, 2011. We were able to raise over $1000 for JEENA during this fund raiser. We will also be participating in Sevathon 2012 on July 15, 2012 and request your continued support for Kerala Club and JEENA.

Malayalam Class starts May 5, 2012 (Session 4)

After the hugely successful completion of Kerala Club California's  three sessions of Malayalam class, we are happy to announce the next session starting on May 5th 2012.

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN! CLICK ON THIS LINK AND REGISTER YOUR KIDS ASAP!

There will be two levels of classes offered: 

Level 1:  Starts May 5th 2012
Saturdays: 3:30pm-4:30pm
$90 ICC members, $100 non members

For children between the ages of 6 to 12. It is intended to introduce them to Malayalam, which is the official language of the State of Kerala in India. The goal of the 12 week program  is to introduce the letters and commonly used words to the kids. The program, with the help of multimedia and a carefully created lesson plan, would introduce the language through making the student familiar with letters, commonly used words, simple stories and songs.

Level 2: Starts May 5th 2012
Saturdays: 3:30pm-4:30pm
$90 ICC members, $100 non members

For children between the ages of 8 to 14. It is intended to build up on Level 1 and encourage the use of the language, by speaking, reading and writing.

The Malayalam Language Program, organized in association with the India Community Center, is for kids between the ages of 6 to 14. The goal of the 12 week program, conducted on Saturdays for an hour, is to introduce the letters and commonly used words to the kids. The program, with the help of multimedia and a carefully created lesson plan, would use simple songs and stories and plenty of writing and reading exercises to help kids begin reading, writing and speaking in Malayalam.

Registration Open now! 3rd session of Malayalam Classes starting January 21st, 2012!

Third session of Malayalam classes will start at ICC Milpitas on January 21st 2012. There are two levels of classes being offered:

Level 1:

  • January 21st to April 14th 2012
  • Saturday: 3:30pm-4:30pm

 

Level 2:

  • January 21st to April 14th 2012
  • Saturday: 3:30pm-4:30pm

Olympian and USA Badminton Hall Of Famer Ben Lee to preside over the award ceremonies at Kerala Club Badminton Doubles Tournament  Finals on November 12, 2011.

Calaveras Blvd., Milpitas, CA 95035) on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 3 PM. We are proud to have such an outstanding world athlete to support our endeavors.  

Mr Ben Lee's distinguished career includes:

Kerala Club Cookoff - Thattukada Recipes Available!

Friends, Here are the recipes of the various items created and shared by our fabulous chefs of the San Francisco Bay Area. As the judges very enthusiatically commented, all the items at our cookoff were true examples of creativity and grace. Thanks again to everyone who put in so much energy in creating these wonderful dishes!

Kerala Club California Cookoff 2011 - Thattukada: Thanks!

Kerala Club California extends its thanks to all who had participated in the "Thattukada" event on Saturday, October 8 2011 at the beautiful Lake Cunningham Park in San Jose.

It was a great day for all of us to come together for a day of food, fun, and socializing where we got to taste some incredible varieties of Dosa-s, Meen-curry, Omelet, Kattan Kappi and Kappa created by the talented Bay Area cooks.

We congratulate all the cooks for their outstanding, innovative creations. We also thank the judges who had spent a considerable amount of time tasting and judging all the verieties of meen curry and dosa. It was a lot of work and we are so very grateful for their time and enthusiasm.

After the hugely successful completion of Kerala Club California's  first session of Conversational Malayalam class, we are happy to announce the next session of Malayalam classes in the Bay Area.

[Important Note: First class for both levels will be on Sunday, October 2nd. All subsequent classes will be held on Saturdays.]

Kerala Club California starts their very first Malayalam class on June 18, 2011!

Kerala Club California is excited to share with you our next big endeavor - Conversational Malayalam classes for children. We have heard from so many people in our community requesting this, and it is a dream-come-true for us to have this class offered during Summer 2011.
